When using exterior insulation materials, one of the design and construction challenges for both architects and builders is how to properly fasten the siding or cladding material. Climate-Shield has developed a 
Z-Girt that works very effectively with its rain screen siding system. The Z-Girt provides a solid fastening base to maintain the strength and performance integrity of the rain screen system. The depth of the Z-Girt can be sized to accommodate different thicknesses of exterior insulation. The Climate-Shield Z-Girt is manufactured from the same rugged marine grade aluminum as the rainscreen starter rail and the Climate-Shield rainscreen clips for long life, reliability and superior performance.
