Ipe deck railing system may contain all the essential components to finish your deck project including; 4 x 4 Ipe posts, 2 x 2 Ipe Balusters, Ipe Sub Rail (1x4 Ipe) and any custom Ipe railing you choose.

Mataverde® Ipe 6 x 6 Post Sleeve

If you are trying to achieve a sturdy, solid look in your design, perhaps the Mataverde® Ipe 6 x 6 Post Sleeve is an option you may wish to consider.  You can create the bulky look of a 6x6 post with this Ipe post sleeve. [Item# MIAPS48]

This Ipe post sleeve slips over an existing 4 x 4 structural deck post to create a rich robust solid appearance. To complete the top of of the Ipe Post Sleeve, add a Mataverde Ipe Post Cap.

If you prefer a different look for the top of your Post Sleeve, choose from any of the Post Cap options shown below. Any of these caps could work nicely to complete your deck railing design.

Ipe Post Cap Options

For Ipe hardwood deck post cap options, choose from three custom made sizes.
Ipe post caps are available in '4x4', '6x6' and '8x8' nominal dimensions. Sizes may vary slightly. 

Ipe '4x4' Post Cap - Approximate size 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" thick. 

Uses for 4x4 Post Cap:

• Works well as a post cap for solid 4x4 Ipe posts. (install flush on top of the post, with no overhang)

Ipe '6x6' Post Cap - Approximate size 5-3/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-1/2" thick. [Item# MIAPCS4]

Uses for 6x6 Post Cap:

• Works well as a post cap for 6x6 Ipe posts (install flush on top of the post, with no overhang)
• Works well with the Ipe 6x6 Post Sleeve. (install flush on top of the post, with no overhang)
• May also be used as a post cap for solid Ipe 4x4 posts, (with an overhang)

Ipe '8x8' Post Cap - Approximate size 7-1/4" x 7-1/4" x 1-1/2" thick. [Item# MIAPC4]

Uses for 8x8 Post Cap:

• Works well as a post cap for 6x6 Ipe posts (Overlaps the the post, with overhang)
• Works well as a post cap with the Ipe 6x6 Post Sleeve. (Overlaps the the post, with overhang)
