Climate-Shield CS2 Fastening System components

The CS2 rainscreen fastening system is ideal for fastening into plywood or OSB exterior sheathing over an appropriate weather-resistant barrier. Automatically sets a 3/4" rainscreen gap between the building envelope and the back of the rainscreen siding.

CS2 Rainscreen Clip

2" wide marine grade aluminum rainscreen clip with two fastening holes. Stainless steel wood screws are included for quick installation into plywood or OSB exterior sheathing. Packaged in boxes of 150 rainscreen clips.

CSSR8 Climate-Shield Horizontal Starter Rail 8'

Use this rainscreen component at the bottom of your first course of horizontal siding. Speed up horizontal installations. Comes with fastening screws, fastening holes, and weep holes.

CSSRV8 Climate-Shield Vertical Starter Rail 8'

Use this rainscreen component at the bottom of your first course of vertical siding. Speed up vertical installations. Comes with fastening screws, fastening holes, and weep holes.

CSCVSV5 Cor-A-Vent SV5 Rainscreen Siding Vent

The Cor-A-Vent SV5 siding vent improves ventilation and helps minimize insects. The SV5 fits snuggly into the 3/4" rainscreen cavity. Use this component above the starter rail, above door openings, above and below window openings, and at the top of the wall.

For CS2 wall assemblies that are not sheathed with plywood or OSB, the following components are available based on your project needs:

CSAC8 Climate-Shield Attachment Channel

The Climate-Shield Attachment Channel is ideal for use over concrete or masonry exterior walls, exterior gypsum or rigid insulation up to 1" thick. Use self tapping stainless steel screws with the CS2 rainscreen clips to fasten the siding to the channel channel. Screws to fasten the attachment channel to the wall are not included. The appropriate screw for each application should be determined by the project engineer.

CSZG8 Climate-Shield Z-Girt 8'

The Climate-Shield Z-Girt is an excellent solution for wall assemblies with exterior insulation. The web depth can be made to accommodate the appropriate thickness of exterior insulation for your project.

Climate-Shield CS10 Rainscreen System Fasteners and Components

The Climate-Shield CS10 Specialty Clip and fastening components are ideal for fastening wood rainscreen siding on walls and soffits over plywood or OSB exterior sheathing. The CS10 clip automatically sets a 10 mm (3/8") rainscreen gap from the building envelope to the back of the siding. The shallower rainscreen cavity allows for a lower profile on soffits. It also eliminates the need for window trim on most residential wood windows.

CS10 Rainscreen Clip

1-1/2" wide marine grade aluminum rainscreen clip with a single fastening hole. Stainless steel wood screws are included for quick installation into plywood or OSB exterior sheathing. Packaged in boxes of 220 rainscreen clips. the system is evaluated for hurricane winds (and seismic equivalent) up to 180 MPH.

CS10SR Climate-Shield Horizontal Starter Rail 8'

Use this rainscreen component at the bottom of your first course of horizontal siding. Speed up horizontal installations. Comes with fastening screws, fastening holes, and weep holes.

CSCVSV3 Cor-A-Vent SV5 Rainscreen Siding Vent

The Cor-A-Vent SV3 siding vent improves ventilation and helps minimize insects. The SV3 fits tightly into the 10mm rainscreen cavity with the Climate-Shield CS10 system. Use this component above the starter rail, above door openings, above and below window openings, and at the top of the wall.
